Rob appears a master of controlled chaos. He relishes in the laughter, the groans and the ‘oh no, please don’t do that’ moments. Rob bleeds for his comedy (sometimes literally) but he is not trying to be like Jackass. He fills his show with gags, silliness, and clowning but most of all, his show is full of commitment.
‘Performing Comedy’ has heart in an absurd way. It is a show unlike anything I have seen before, largely as the structure of the show is improvised and is different every night. One can only imagine what a fully planned out show performed by Rob would look like, no doubt it would knock the socks off an audience. This considered, such a change to Rob’s style would potentially lose the manic unpredictability and maybe not be a true Rob Caruana show.
Rob has a talent for making an audience laugh (sometimes at any cost) and will bring something different to each performance of ‘Performing Comedy’. You can check it out at the Pilgrim Bar from 5 to 7 April 2018. For more information and to book tickets, click here.
